Where do you fit in the search for better choices?

Pick the answer that is closest to true. We keep a running count below, and we will follow up with what comes next.

Good. We’re not looking for politicians.

Here is what we are looking for, and what happens next.

We’re interested in people who have actually led, built, solved, served, managed, listened, failed, learned, and brought people together. Party label doesn’t matter. Whether you can actually lead does.

Be honest with yourself about five things

  • Character. Who are you when the cameras are off?
  • Competence. Can you understand hard problems and make sound decisions?
  • Integrity. Will you tell the truth when it costs you something?
  • Judgment. Can you lead through pressure, uncertainty, and consequence?
  • Ability to unite. Can you bring people together without asking them to become the same?

Thank you. Most good leaders are asked first.

America’s next great leader might not be looking for the job.

Maybe it’s someone you’ve worked for. Someone who transformed your town. A teacher everyone trusts. A veteran people follow. A business owner who takes care of employees. A public servant who gets things done without making everything about themselves.

What makes a strong nomination

  • A specific moment when they led — what happened, and what they did.
  • Why people trust them, including people who disagree with them.
  • How they bring people together without asking them to become the same.

You don’t have to run to have a say in who should.
